I was born in Papua New Guinea on the 15th of August which makes me a Leo (Leos are very stubborn but have great hair!).
There were no televisions, no toys and no sweets in Papua New Guinea, so apart from the crocodiles, the sharks, the snakes and all the other dangerous and poisonous creatures, it was quite boring! On the plus side, I became a very fast runner and swimmer having to escape all the dangerous and poisonous creatures!
I came to the UK when I was 8 and it took me two years to recover from the shock of the cold – not helped by the fact I lived in my grandmother’s house which had no central heating at all. In fact, the only thing that kept me warm was polishing the copper and brass fenders in her tiny, over-stuffed antique shop.
Eventually I went to Oxford University and studied lots of unreadable Anglo-Saxon words and ate a lot of chocolate fridge cake from a tuck shop on Turl Street.
Now I live in Wales with my daughter who wants to be an actor, my son who wants to be a concert pianist and hundreds and thousands of rescue animals. Oh, and I guess I ought to mention the superhero husband.
I like the sea, mint choc chip ice cream, arab horses and music.
